1.
Organize your photos
This is
the hardest part for most people. It's tough to choose one photo over
another as you remember the stories behind the pictures. If you're
having trouble deciding, let us help, but in the end go with your
instinct.
 Photo sizes -
How big? How small? We can scan photos up to 10x13"
and as small as 2x3" for good screen resolution.
Number of photos
–
In general, a three
and a half minute song needs about 40 pictures. It’s better to have a
few too many than too few.
 Scanning-
We scan
If you have a specific order for certain photos or for all of them, we
recommend using post-it notes rather than writing on the back of a
photo. Just number the post-it notes and stick them on the back of your photos.
You
scan
For photos you already have in a digital format, just save the files
using the numbers where they are to appear and copy them to a CD. If you
have just a few digital images, files less than 1MB can be emailed to
us. Please call ahead to let us know to expect your files.
2.
Decide on music or let us help
Let us
know your music preferences or specify exactly which songs you'd like
for your video. Listen to music while you sort photos. If you aren’t
sure about the lyrics, search for them online. If your video is a gift,
try to find out their favorite styles of music.
3.
Include special messages
Happy
Birthday, Best Wishes, We Love You...Say anything you'd like at the beginning, at the end.
We'll
include text on or before a specific photo during the show if you'd
like.
4.
Select a cover photo
 Choose
your favorite photo for the main image. All DVD's come with a 3x3 window
folio in a black gift box. Order additional sets for $20.99 each.
Please make sure this is a personal photo of yours and not an image
protected by copyright.
5.
Relax while we work
Most
videos are completed in two weeks or less. We'll remove dust and
scratches, correct red eye, and help the contrast if necessary. Even pictures with tears
and other
damage can be corrected. We'll call when it's
ready to arrange for delivery and viewing of the video and the safe
return of your photos and CD’s.
